The Role
We are currently seeking a full-time experienced casting technician to join or run our expanding in-house casting team.
As a firm that always looks to invest in both our people and technology / workshop equipment, you will be part of a small specialised team that is responsible for the production of high-quality casts, using state of the art equipment.

Ideal Candidates
- A working knowledge of casting, investment techniques and mould preparation are essential
- 3+ Years casting experience
- Experience of either centrifugal casting or vacuum casting
- Casting experience of all 4 precious metals
- Abilitiy to wax, invest and prep products ready for burnout
- Experience of different burnout cycles based on material provided
- Have a good understanding of 3d printing and overall technology
- Sound understanding of jewellery production and process
- Methodical and tidy worker
- Effectively manage workflows and meet key deadlines
- Excellent attention to detail and to strive to achieve the best result irrespective of the piece
- Great work ethic and a team player with strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to focus on the task at hand
Desirable Traits & Additional Skills
- Mould cutting
- Strong troubleshooting skills
- Intuitive and full of ideas to improve key processes
- To inspire and provide their knowledge of casting and the different processes and stages involved, which in turn will improve staff development.
- To assist account managers with their expert knowledge when required to advise on the practicalities of certain designs/materials.
To be successful you will need a genuine passion for jewellery, be ready to learn new casting techniques and be eager to push yourself beyond your comfort zone.
This role is the ideal opportunity for the right applicant to pass on their knowledge and skill to progress into the Casting Manager position.
Successful candidates will be offered a 3 month trial after which the salary will be reviewed depending on skills and performance demonstrated.
